Okay, what's an RSS feed?

It's the one scary-sounding word here, so let's get it out of the way. An RSS feed is just a link that updates itself. You paste it once into the Yoto app (or any podcast app) and your playlist shows up like its own little radio station — quietly adding new episodes for you.

Heads up: streaming an RSS playlist needs wi-fi. For the car, download the episodes instead.

Yes. Nothing is hosted or re-uploaded here. This just organizes the same public podcast feeds your podcast app already uses, and the audio plays straight from the creator. Share playlist links rather than downloaded files and everyone stays happy.

The audio is the creator's own feed, so if a show has ads, they'll play. I lean hard toward podcasts made for kids, where that's rare — but ads can change over time, so if you ever hear something off, tell me and I'll look.

Yep. Download a single episode or a whole playlist as a zip. Lifesaver for flights, tunnels, and the long stretch of highway with no signal.

I listen first, then tag every show by age and topic myself. No algorithm, no pay-to-play — just one parent trying to save you the vetting.
